When you install the ShopAssist AI app on your Shopify store, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

• Store Data: Products, collections, pages, policies, and store settings required to train the AI chatbot.
• Order Data: Order tracking information to answer customer queries regarding their orders.
• Customer Interactions: Messages sent by customers to the chatbot to generate appropriate AI responses via the OpenAI API.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the ShopAssist AI services on your Shopify store.
• To power the AI responses by sending relevant store data and customer queries to OpenAI.
• To track monthly usage limits and AI requests.
• To allow your support agents to take over conversations via the human handover feature.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your store data or customer information to third parties. Your data is shared only with the following service providers necessary for app functionality:

• OpenAI: Customer queries and relevant context are sent to OpenAI to generate chatbot responses.
• Shopify: We sync data directly with Shopify APIs.

5. Data Retention

We retain store data, AI training data, and chat logs as long as the app is installed. If you uninstall the app, your store data will be deleted in accordance with Shopify's data retention policies and guidelines.
